    National anthems of Tanzania and the USA by Neema Mwasha and Kimaya Romano on violin.

    Opening remarks by Hon. Joachim Otaru from the Tanzanian Embassy in New York.

    2:00 PM – 2:30 PM Screening: The Matumbilas (Cartoon)

    A fun and educational animated feature highlighting a quirky immigrant family,

    struggling to maintain their Tanzanian heritage, while living in a chaotic suburban city.

    2:30 PM – 3:00 PM | Live Drumming

    Performance by DIATA DIATA International Folkloric theatre

    3:00 PM – 3:45 PM | Fireside Chat:
    Preservation of Culture
    Discussion with cultural experts on maintaining traditions in a modern world.
    Panelists: Ma Vicky, Zulfiqar Manzi, Justa L, Tina K., KokuGonza. Moderated by Mama Pamela,
    Enjoy Tanzanian appetizers paired w/ delicious Swahili bites while listening in.
    4:00PM – 4:45 PM - Lunch + Performance by Tina K.
    Indulge in authentic Swahili cuisine made by Tanzanian Diaspora chefs. Tina Kakolaki uses her music to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Bahaya people.
    5:00 PM – 5:20 PM Performance by Eto'o Tsana
    A dynamic choreographer, dancer, singer, and dance educator based in New York City who has collaborated musically with Tanzanian artists
    5:30 PM – 5:45 PM Performance by Princepin
    Deeply rooted in his Tanzanian heritage, Princepin’s music bridges the past and present—celebrating culture while pushing creative boundaries
    6:00 PM – 6:45 PM KokuGonza and the band.
    Daughter of a Tanzanian folk musician, is a soulful artist whose sound bridges continents.
    7:00PM-8:30PM Dance Party with DJ MAO + Networking
